6 October 2021

6 October 2021, London (UK): ImproveWell LTD (“ImproveWell” or “the Company”) is proud to be recognised by Startups in its 13th annual ranking of the 100 most disruptive and innovative UK small businesses.

Hundreds of new businesses apply for the Startups 100 list each year.  Businesses must be UK-based and founded in the last five years.

Each application is subject to a ranking and judging process.  The first step in ranking the Startups 100 is an assessment of the businesses’ financial position.  A weighted score is based on (1) finance raised, and (2) turnover for the previous financial year.  The second stage in the ranking process is more subjective.  A shortlist of businesses is provided to the Startups team, with the finances removed, so that judgement can be made based on the strength of the business idea alone.  The team takes into account strength of concept, the size of the opportunity, and the disruptiveness of the idea, assigning a score for each factor.  These scores are then combined with the financial weighting to produce the overall ranking.

Lara Mott, CEO and Co-founder of ImproveWell, said: “To feature as one of nine HealthTech companies featured in the 2021 Startups 100 List is a fantastic achievement. The UK has a strong reputation for innovation, and we are so proud to feature amongst such an impressive list. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past five years.”
