13 October 2022, London (UK): ImproveWell LTD (“ImproveWell” or “the Company”) win the ‘Major Project Go Live’ award at the 6th Annual Health Tech Newspaper (HTN) Awards.
The HTN Health Tech Awards help to share and celebrate digital teams, programmes, innovations and health tech suppliers that have made a difference through the year. In these annual awards, the finalists are acknowledged as innovations and solutions that are helping to shape future services and systems across health and care.
The ImproveWell solution creates the right environment for staff wellbeing and continuous improvement by empowering staff and key stakeholders to drive change. Pioneered and shaped in partnership with East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), application of the tool has spread from supporting ELFT’s local programme to supporting national and international collaboratives in the last 12 months. Launching in 2021, the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) ‘Enjoying Work’ Quality Improvement collaborative provided opportunities for 38 healthcare teams across 16 UK healthcare organisations to understand and test ideas on the factors contributing to joy in work and wellbeing. This is the first national programme of its kind, and likely the largest improvement collaborative on this topic globally.
The programme achieved an aggregate:
- 50% improvement in the percentage of people who enjoyed being at work frequently;
- a 41% improvement in the percentage of people who experienced no symptoms of burnout; and
- a 38% improvement in the percentage of people who were extremely likely to recommend their team as a place to work.
Dr Amar Shah, Chief Quality Officer at ELFT and National Improvement Lead for Mental Health at RCPsych, said:
“The ImproveWell platform is groundbreaking. I’m proud to have worked with ImproveWell over many years to support our work, both at ELFT and RCPsych, to ensure that our staff are able to understand what contributes to wellbeing and joy in work, put forward and test ideas that can make a real difference. I’m delighted that the team at ImproveWell have been recognised for their innovative work.”
Lara Mott, CEO and Co-founder of ImproveWell, commented:
“The ‘Major Project Go Live’ category acknowledges the great efforts behind the adoption of ImproveWell on a national level. RCPsych’s Enjoying Work results are impressive and build on ELFT’s pioneering initiatives to improve health professionals’ quality of life. Together with RCPsych and ELFT, we are delighted to have been recognised by the HTN judges and wish everyone all the best for the celebrations tonight.”
